“As we mark Northern FC’s 150th season, it’s a privilege to welcome you to McCracken Park for a day that celebrates everything grassroots rugby stands for. I am indebted to Chris Blyth and his team for the organisation of this event which will allow all of the boys and girls to experience the enjoyment, highs and occasional lows of the game we love, all encompassed by the core values of rugby for players and spectators alike.
Talent and future stars will undoubtedly be on show, but it will be the fun and participation for all that will win the day. From our youngest players to our most seasoned volunteers this festival and indeed all of the mini and youth training and games throughout the season are a testament to the spirit, history, and future of all our clubs. Thank you for being part of it.” - Jim Pollock, Club President
“It’s a real privilege for Northern FC to welcome more than 400 young players to our festival as part of our 150th anniversary celebrations. Days like this are what grassroots rugby is all about — bringing clubs together, creating memories, and inspiring the next generation to love the game as much as we do.” - Michael Mitten, Head of Age Grade Rugby
This mini rugby festival is a Northumberland RFU celebration of grassroots sport, inclusivity, and player development. Coaches, parents, and young athletes unite not just for games, but for memories that last a lifetime.
Everyone Involved in Rugby whether as a player, coach, referee, administrator, parent or spectator is expected to uphold the Core Values of our sport.
Northern FC proudly marks its place as one of England’s oldest clubs, built on rugby, belonging, and community.
